These come up the most.

What does MeridianLogix actually do?

It turns a client's freight enquiry email into a finished, branded quote priced from your own tariffs and contracts. You confirm, send, and hand the accepted quote to your TMS.

Does the AI ever make up a price?

No. The AI only reads the enquiry. Pricing is done by a deterministic engine, and every line traces back to a row in a tariff you uploaded. If a rate doesn't exist, the quote says Rate on request — it never improvises a number.

What happens when the email is missing details?

The quote is held rather than guessed. The system lists exactly what's missing — a container size, a weight, an Incoterm — and drafts the email asking your client for precisely those details.

Can it integrate with CargoWise?

Yes, today: an approved quote downloads as a CargoWise-ready Universal Shipment file that imports into your own instance — ports, containers and every charge line included, mapped to your charge codes. Direct push into your instance is in pilot. See the Integrations page.

What about Magaya, Descartes, our ERP or our CRM?

The open API and signed webhooks are live: your systems can pull quotes (and the CargoWise file) with an API key, and we notify your endpoint the moment a quote is created, approved or accepted. That's the hand-off an ERP or CRM listens for.

Do we have to replace our TMS?

No — and you shouldn't. MeridianLogix is the quote layer in front of the system that runs your business. Your TMS keeps the job, the customs entry and the invoice.

How do client rate contracts (NACs) work?

Upload the contract once against the client. Every quote for that client then prices from it at the agreed rates, with no margin added on top. Lanes the contract doesn't cover fall back to your standard tariffs, loudly labelled as non-contract.

Can one client ever see another client's rates?

No. A client's contract prices only that client's quotes — the engine enforces it, and an automated test suite fails our build if that ever regresses. The same applies between companies: every workspace is isolated.

Where do the rates come from?

From you. Upload your carrier tariffs and negotiated contracts in the formats they arrive in; the system reads them, checks the lanes, and tells you if a sheet has problems or is close to expiry.

Which modes are covered?

Sea (FCL and LCL), air, and road — with the mode-specific details each one needs: container types and counts, chargeable weight bands, stackability.

What does it cost?

We sit in the published SME band — a per-user subscription, not per-shipment fees. Ask us for current pricing when you book a demo.

How do we get started?

Book a private demo and bring a real enquiry email and one or two of your tariff files. You'll see your own lane priced, on your own rates, in the first session.

A question we didn't answer? Ask it in a private demo.

Bring one of your real freight RFQs to the demo. We'll show you how MeridianLogix reads it, checks it and builds the quote.

We take on a small number of forwarders at a time · Real rates · Operator approved
